Eric Engelke

President/CEO

As Engelke Construction Solutions’ founder and president, Eric is responsible for the overall vision, performance, and consistent growth of the company. He has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has managed $200 million+ in construction projects for various sectors, including K-12 / higher education, hospitality, commercial healthcare, big-box retail, and site development.

Eric earned a dual Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and International Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. His day-to-day activities include managing Engelke’s finances, accounting, risk controls, and contractual compliance. He ensures the company’s fiscal responsibility with professionalism, accountability, and reliability. While responsible for the company vision, over the years, there is no aspect of the business that he has not directed at one point or another. Eric also maintains a role in business development and consistently has active involvement in each and every project.

Eric is vital in promoting a collaborative work environment and his philosophy of “being seen and not heard” in his actions. He believes that this philosophy is paramount in the trust and relationships that Engelke Construction Solutions builds. Adhering to this philosophy daily with client and trade partners creates a positive construction experience for everyone involved.

In addition to his daily business activity, Eric is extremely passionate about giving back to his community and others. As a founding board member of the H2O Foundation Inc., being active in his hometown Parish, and coaching high school football locally, he enjoys the consistent opportunity to give back his time, energy, and resources for the common good.


Aaron Rasmussen

Executive Vice President

Aaron joined Engelke in 2012 and supports the business development and integrated project operations of the company. With 25+ years in the construction industry, Aaron has significant leadership experience in large projects. He focuses on taking care of our people and our clients and making sure we address their needs.

At any given time, you’ll find him helping staff win and implement new projects. He focuses on delivering solutions to construction problems and making sure our people have the tools they need to be successful in their work.    

In the Cleveland/Akron region, Aaron is an active volunteer and former board member for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. He is a founding member of the H2O Foundation and sits on the board. 

Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University in 1997. (Boiler Up!)

Jim MacLellan

Chief Operating Officer

With 30 years of construction experience, Jim has overseen $150 million in construction contracts with Engelke. Jim runs the company’s construction operations in the United States, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that projects are delivered as promised. 

Jim has been instrumental in managing Engelke’s commercial division and focuses on the company’s growth. His success in managing and pricing numerous projects has enabled Engelke to deliver top-notch results. 

Jim is a native of Brunswick, OH, and lives in his hometown with his wife and their three children.

 

Jeff Kaltenstein

Vice President

Jeff joined the Engelke team in 2016 with over 15 years of industry experience. He has an extensive background in new site development and ground-up construction as well as renovation work in the office, retail, automotive, and multi-family sectors. 

In his current role as Vice President, Jeff oversees all aspects of the business including risk management, financial analysis, human resources, project management, and business development. He has been an integral part of the company’s growth.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Dayton. He currently resides in Bay Village, OH with his wife and their three children.

 

Mike Vrsansky

Director of Construction

Mike has been employed with Engelke since 2015. His previous experience began with managing projects as a Superintendent and then as a Project Manager eventually serving as Senior Project Manager with Engelke.

In his current role as Director of Construction he is responsible for overseeing all construction operations for the company. Mike provides leadership around best practices in every aspect of construction and project management.

Mike obtained a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. He grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and continues to reside in Brunswick with his family.
